As a securities Broker Dealer the company is heavily regulated and had developed a complex and disparate IT structure. Rives Leavell & Co sought streamlined integration of its data with back office operations, sales and marketing department, and management, which had been relying on multiple software products and duplicate manual operations.
With extensive investment industry experience, JTechWorks was selected to replace the systems infrastructure.
Rives Leavell & Co. Internal Operations
JTechWorks created a centralized Microsoft SQL Server database, network user systems for accounting, back office, and management with MS Access and Visual Basic, and an on-line investment management application built in Adobe ColdFusion, Microsoft IIS, and MS SQL Server.
The company-wide application provides back office trading, commission accounting, client management, and full reporting functions. In addition, investment regulatory issues were addressed for trade processing, investment registrations, and mandated FINCEN money laundering identification.

Investment clients are better served with a new online sales system where they are able to purchase investment bonds from live inventory, create trading accounts, registrations, and update SEC and FINRA account cards as needed.
Institutional buyers and sales account executives have the ability to manage their clients, purchase investments, and access multiple reporting options.

Presentation of live bond inventory online to investors and potential clients is essential to Rives Leavell & Co.'s strategy of providing high-quality service to their clients. The infrastructure created for internal operations and online sales was used to develop a website that addresses the needs of both potential investors and potential loan origination clients, with easy access to the live inventory.
